“The Mid-Season Apology”
We promised the meta would be in a healthy place by mid-season. It is now in a place. Whether that place is healthy is a matter for the philosophers. As ever, we balance around the top 0.1% of players and the bottom 0.1% of our own confidence.
Champions
Bramblewick
the Mildly Inspiring- ▲Final Verdict now deals more true damage to targets below 30% health. The ruling is, frankly, less appealable than ever.
- ▼Whirl of Splinters radius reduced. Bram was achieving his daily step goal and ours simultaneously, which felt unfair.
- ✦Fixed a bug where Bram's pension would occasionally deposit gold into the enemy team's account.
Cogsworth
the Refurbished- ▼Magno-Grab cooldown increased at early ranks. Cogsworth was grabbing people across time zones.
- ◆Reserve Battery now converts mana to shield slightly more efficiently, but Cogsworth audibly apologizes while doing so.
Lumina
the Overlit- ▼Overbeam width reduced. After extensive testing, THE beam was determined to be too much beam.
- ▲Afterglow mark detonation damage increased. The sparkles now have a body count.
Vesh
the Veiled- ▲Shadowstep decoy now stands slightly more convincingly. It will fool exactly the players we want it to fool.
- ▼The Last Word missing-health scaling reduced. The very large number is now a merely large number.
Nana Cinder
the Sweet Pyromaniac- ▲Here's Mr. Snuggles lands harder and leaves a more smoldering mess. The bear remains legally distinct.
- ◆Slow Burn stun now triggers one cast sooner. Grandma was being patient; we asked her to stop.
Items
Cleaver of Regret
- ▼Bonus crit damage reduced from +30% to +25%. There are now slightly more take-backs.
Catastrophe Cap
- ▲Total ability power amplification increased. The hat continues to do most of the work, and now demands recognition.
Spiteful Bulwark
- ▲Reflected damage increased from 18% to 20%. Pettiness, finally, scales.
